reclaim | rematriate | create

Three Sisters Collective was established in 2017, born out of a desire to create safe spaces of engagement for Indigenous people in Oga Pogeh/Santa Fe, NM.

We have hosted events over the last several years to bring awareness to the epidemic of Missing & Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives, created several murals, co-founded Indigenous Women’s Day at the state capitol, hosted art shows and community events to highlight Indigenous peoples and our land based efforts, offered educational webinars, hosted self-defense classes for Native girls & gender non-conforming relatives, established a community garden and educational/community space, advocated for the removal of antiquated racist monuments in our city and more!

In 2019 we produced a CD entitled “Spirit Line: Woven Together for Our Missing & Murdered Indigenous Relatives” along with a supplementary resource guide to assist communities, organizations, and schools in teaching about this important issue. In 2020, we were a recipient of a prestigious Mural Arts Philadelphia grant, along with our sibling organization, Alas de Agua, to support community-wide murals addressing environmental justice.

In 2020 we were also instrumental in getting our city of Santa Fe mayor to announce the removal of 3 racist monuments in our downtown proper, a promise that to this day has not been followed through on. All of these events and accomplishments could not have been possible without the support and collaboration of many individuals, artists, and organizations.

Our vision We seek liberation for all Indigenous peoples by creating practices of community care through our ongoing cultivation of land-based connections and human and non-human relationships. Our framework for liberation is centered in land-based experiential education, Traditional Ecological Knowledge, and mutual aid. We foster spaces of multigenerational relationship building and femme-centered healing around our shared vision of seed, language, art, and story rematriation, where Indigenous people can find and use their voice for advocacy and togetherness.

We are proud to be supported by community donations & the following sponsors
